This coming Thursday (July 1), we play our final pre-season friendly, as we take on Northern Premier League Premier Division side, Stafford Rangers.

The game will be played at Marston Road, Stafford, and has a 7.45 p.m. kick-off time.

Founded in the nineteenth century, the exact birthdate of the club is not known, but the first reference goes back to September, 1876, ensuring that it has a well-established and proud history.

Stafford’s close proximity to Wolverhampton is reflected in the list of managers over the years that includes Chris Brindley, Steve Bull, Andy Mutch and Bobby Thomson – names that will be more than familiar to followers of Wolves.

Thursday’s game will see Matt Hill’s side in their home kit of black and white striped shirts, black shorts and black socks.

The New Saints will be wearing green and white hooped shirts, white shorts and socks. The ‘keepers will be in all blue.

Entry fee is £5.00, with free admission to those under the age of sixteen. Tickets can be purchased via the Stafford Rangers’ website.

There will be no segregation of fans but those attending must wear face masks when seated in the main stand and when indoors.

A week later, the rubber hits the road as far as competitive football is concerned, as we take on Glentoran FC in the UEFA Europa League Conference.
