After breakfast the players were either in the gym or on the training pitch. The facilities at St Andrews University are excellent and ideal for the type of camp that we’ve been on this week.

It has been a very busy few days and after lunch the players and staff had some free time. Naturally, being in St Andrews, the home of golf, several took advantage of that and headed for one of the local courses.

Others visited the town, which is just a few minutes walking distance from where we are staying.

It’s been great to see Academy youngsters involved in the pre-season camp, not just training but also featuring in the game against East Fife yesterday.
