Following the conclusion of the 2020/21 JD Cymru Premier campaign, the twelve league managers cast their votes regarding the team of the season.
With the tightest defence in the league – having conceded just seventeen goals in thirty-two games – it comes as no surprise that Ryan Astles found his way into the starting line-up.
Having played in all but one of the games during the course of the season, Astles made 2,132 passes, had 24 shots on goal and found the back of the net on three occasions.
Although he spent much of the season injured, Ryan Brobbel’s comeback was impressive, to put it mildly. Featuring in just 14 games, he scored 12 goals, including four on the road in April at Jenner Park. The 6-0 victory made it five TNS wins on the bounce.
Brobbel’s 1,025 minutes on the pitch during the season means that he scored once every 85.4.
Adrian Cieslewicz played in 30 games and his 8 goals came as a result of 72 shots on goal, with 44% of those on target.
The winger passed the ball 1,203 times and was fouled on 32 occasions.
