The Football Association of Wales (FAW) licensing applications have recently been submitted by clubs to compete in next season’s Welsh domestic football system.
With European football a regular feature of The New Saints’ competitive season, the club also applied for the UEFA Licence.
In addition, this time round, The New Saints also applied for the FAW Tier One Women’s Licence.
Today, along with other clubs that have submitted applications presented to the Licensing First Instance Body, we received the verdicts, and we are extremely pleased to announce that all three applications were successful.
Club Chairman Mike Harris said ‘The club wishes to place on record the acknowledgment regarding the work of Club Secretary Jacob Williams, Chief Operating Officer Ian Williams and Finance Director Helen Harris in relation to the positive outcomes.’
The New Saints FC has been granted respective licenses each season since the system was first introduced which covers areas such as Club Infrastructure, Personnel, Finance, Legal and Sporting criteria.
Concerning today’s news, Ian Williams had the following to say: ‘Thanks to all of the work behind the scenes, we’ve once again achieved licences for Domestic and UEFA Competitions and for the first time this year, we’ve been granted a Tier One Women’s Licence. In collaboration with The New Saints Foundation, we’ll be announcing exciting details of our new Women and Girls strategy in the coming weeks.’
