Our Foundation youth workers, Corey, Hannah and Alisha have been busy this week hosting virtual youth clubs via Zoom for all those who have been affected by the lockdown restrictions.  The aim is to keep in contact with our regular participants, and also for them to have the opportunity to keep in contact with each other, whilst also receiving the support of our youth workers.  We’re also able to accommodate new participants, as unlike the physical clubs, our numbers aren’t limited when meeting virtually.  Our first week was a huge success, with 14 young people taking part across the four clubs for Gobowen, Weston Rhyn, Whittington and All In.  

Lead youth worker, Corey Williams, said: “Although we’re not going to be able to meet in our usual youth club format for some time yet, the Zoom sessions are providing a great opportunity for the team and young people to interact, refresh friendships, provide mutual support, and take part in various activities.  Everyone was pleased to see each other and take some time out together.  We used the first week to discuss what we’ve all learned and experienced through lockdown, and then shared ideas for the upcoming Zoom sessions. There’s lots in the pipeline!”
