Although we have lost a significant amount of time and delivery this year, the Trustees feel confident that we are in a good place to continue and grow our work across the area as restrictions hopefully begin to ease in 2021 and as the vaccination programme is rolled out, writes Gill Jones.
In the meantime, we are doing our utmost to ensure our limited level of provision continues to be safe and enjoyable for all participants, working within all Government guidelines. I particularly want to thank all colleagues, whose quality and professionalism have shone out and ensured the safety and wellbeing of everyone we come into contact with are paramount.
In spite of the many restrictions, we are delighted to announce that we have recently secured a funding contribution from Three Parishes Big Local to support ongoing youth club provision in Gobowen and Weston Rhyn.
We have also recently been commissioned by Ellesmere Town Council to carry out a piece of consultation with young people and stakeholders in Ellesmere with regard to future youth provision in the town. The first stage of this consultation is nearing completion, and we look forward to beginning the second phase in the New Year and working with Ellesmere Town Council to address the needs of young people there.
Our work and dialogue with various funders and stakeholders continues to help ensure the Foundation can continue to be a positive force for good in the local community in the coming years.
We will be taking a short break in our session delivery over the Christmas and New Year period, but plan to restart all our community provision from Wednesday 6th January 2021. These include:
