The MD20 (the numbers aren’t in sequence at the moment, due to rearranged fixtures) game between Newtown AFC and The New Saints FC comes just three days after the league leaders suffered their first defeat in the 2020/21 season.
Although still top of the table, TNS lead the way only on goal difference over Connah’s Quay Nomads.
Traditionally, following a reversal, the team has responded very well, and that’s the message that Scott Ruscoe will be making sure his players are aware of, ahead of the trip to Latham Park.
Currently in ninth place, the Robins are twenty-eight points behind The New Saints. They’ve scored sixteen, compared to TNS’ forty-three and have conceded thirteen goals more.
Newtown go into the game having lost their last three, including a 2-1 defeat against Cardiff Metropolitan University FC on December 1, which was the last time that they played.
The game tomorrow (December 15) is behind closed doors, although you can follow the action on TNS Radio, via our website/Facebook page. The kick-off is 7.45 p.m.
The officials are as follows:
- Referee: Nicholas Pratt
- Assistant Referee: Gareth Wyn Jones
- Assistant Referee: Connor Eoin Fowler
- Fourth Official: Alex David Livesey
- Observer: John Geraint Parcell Davies
