Since promotion to the top flight of Welsh football, Barry Town United have a very good record at Park Hall. With two wins, two draws and just one defeat, it’s impressive indeed.

The solitary TNS FC win though, was in style, as a 5-1 victory handed the champions the three points. The game, played in August 2018, featured Kurtis Byrne, Ben Cabango and Aeron Edwards in the starting line-up, with all three players no longer at Park Hall.

Ben was on loan from Swansea City, while Kurtis moved to his native Ireland this season, as he signed for Waterford. Aeron Edwards switched to Connah’s Quay Nomads ahead of the current campaign.

The remaining eight are still at the club, although Chris Seargeant is now part of the coaching staff, as opposed to still pulling on his boots every week.

Those still playing are: Adrian Cieslewicz, Paul Harrison, Tom Holland, Blaine Hudson, Chris Marriott, Jamie Mullan and Simon Spender.

Blaine opened the scoring with a quarter of an hour gone, Sarge scored a vital brace just before the break. The points were secured when substitute, Greg Draper, scored twice in the space of two minutes in the second period.

One for the memory bank is the game between the teams on February 28, 2004. Total Network Solutions, as the club was back then, hosted Barry Town (before United was added, in 2013).

Scott Ruscoe found the net in the eighteenth minute, Steve Evans added a second with seventy-nine on the clock and Jamie Wood wrapped it up with eight minutes to go.
