With The New Saints FC’s last game a 3-2 victory against Haverfordwest County AFC 0n October 24, it’s back to action this coming Saturday, November 7, for the league leaders.

With Wales currently on lockdown, fixtures have been limited to live S4C productions and, following the aforementioned match, this will be TNS’ second Sgorio appearance in three weeks.

Saturday’s opponent, Bala Town, had the chance to close the gap at the top to three points last weekend. However, their 1-1 draw at the Bridge Meadow Stadium, against Haverfordwest County, sees them going into this game five points behind The New Saints.

What the point meant though, was that Colin Caton’s side moved into second place, leapfrogging Connah’s Quay Nomads in the process. With both teams on twenty points from nine games, it’s a goal difference of just one that separates the sides in the table.

The JD Cymru Premier MD5 encounter this weekend is the one that was abandoned earlier in the season. Although the Lakesiders had a 2-0 lead, a wonder-goal from Leo Smith and a well-executed strike from Ryan Astles, looked to have set the visitors up for a late challenge, as they pushed for the win.

However, floodlight failure means that we go again, this Saturday, in the first league game of November. The trip to Maes Tegid gives Scott Ruscoe’s team the opportunity to go eight points clear at the top.

The New Saints will be in blue shirts and white shorts and socks. The ‘keepers will be in red.
