On April 22, 2017, for the final game of the 2016/2017 Dafabet Welsh Premier League season, The New Saints travelled to Maes Tegid to take on Bala Town.

Already having secured the title, it was impressive enough to have scored ninety-five goals in the previous thirty-one games.

However, the 6-4 victory meant that the season ended with 101 goals, as Adrian Cieslewicz, Ryan Brobbel and Robbie Parry all found the net once, with Scott Quigley scoring a hat-trick.

The 100th goal, incidentally, fell to Parry, as he slotted the ball into the corner to put The New Saints 5-3 up at that stage.

Seven of the starting line-up are no longer at the club, including Andy Wycherley, who saved a penalty during the game.

Although a happy occasion in general, there was a tinge of sadness, as Phil Baker made his final league appearance in a TNS FC shirt.

Affectionately known to all as Pip, the centre-half left a legacy of positive memories behind, after a twelve year career with The New Saints.
