On Sunday (September 27) it’s a trip along the A55 for The New Saints, as we play Caernarfon Town on JD Cymru Premier MD4.
Going into the fixture as league leaders, the statistics currently paint a positive picture. Top of the table – with a game in hand – come the close of MD3, the only club with a 100% record, the only side to have not conceded and a goal difference greater than all the others with a plus figure means that it’s been a good start to the season.
However, these are very early days and all the focus will be on getting a result at the Oval.
The fixture has been kind to The New Saints over the years, with five wins (3-1, 7-1, 5-0, 3-0, 3-0) in the last six visits. However, last time round a Jamie Breese goal in the 71st minute was all that separated the sides come the final whistle.
Caernarfon Town have not been shy finding the net themselves so far this season, with five goals from three games it means they have scored the same number of times as TNS.
However, they have conceded six, which means that they currently occupy sixth place in the league, with four points.

The officials for Sunday are as follows: Lee Evans (referee), Martin Roberts and Luke Dolphin (assistant referees) and Tom Owen (fourth official).
