TNS FC Foundation has released the following statement regarding TNS FC Ladies’ first-team and reserve team.

Following recent discussions, the decision has been taken for TNS Ladies and TNS Ladies Reserves to re-form as Wem Ladies Football Club.  The decision is an amicable one, and has been made to protect the best interests of ladies football in the area.

Foundation Manager, Gill Jones said “The quality of the ladies teams is superb, and they have great ambitions to progress even further.  This is therefore the best decision to ensure the ladies can secure the resources they need to achieve this ambition.  

The priorities of The New Saints FC Foundation are to increase participation in football and physical activity for everyone, and we will continue to invest in the TNS Girls programme in order to increase local participation levels, and offer the best opportunities for girls to develop their football skills and acquire lifetime physical activity habits.

We wish the ladies teams the greatest success as Wem Ladies FC, and look forward to maintaining a positive relationship with them.”
