With a pre-season that has, so far, included trips to Lilleshall National Sports Centre and The Campus, to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers U-23s and Tranmere Rovers respectively, there is definitely an eye on the initial competitive game as the clock ticks down.

All the matches played so far – including one yet to come against Liverpool FC – have been behind-closed-doors. That means, in accordance with Football Association of Wales rules, we haven’t been able to post results.

However, suffice it to say that, as you can see from Scott Ruscoe’s post-match interviews, he’s been more than happy with the performances on the pitch.

As far as competitive games are concerned though, it’s in at the deep end next Thursday (August 27, 2020), when MŠK Žilina visit Park Hall in the UEFA Europa League. The qualifying round one game, with a 6.30 p.m. kick-off time, will be played behind-closed-doors and an announcement will be made in due course regarding how you can follow the action.

The Slovakians currently sit in fourth place in their national league, the Slovak Super Liga, which has recently started its 2020/2021 season. With six points from three games, they have registered convincing 4-0 and 4-2 victories on the road, however, sandwiched in between was a 2-1 defeat at Štadión pod Dubňom.

We spoke with manager, Scott Ruscoe, after one of the aforementioned friendlies. As well as the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, we also asked him about the upcoming Europa League fixture.
