LATEST NEWS

Following the first-team’s JD Cymru Premier 2-2 draw against Barry Town United yesterday evening (March 6) at Park Hall, tomorrow (March 8) it’s the turn of the U-19s to take on the Linnets, this time in the FAW Youth Cup.

The semi-final pits North against South JD Cymru Premier Development, as the sides go head-to-head at Aberystwyth Town’s Park Avenue. The kick-off time is 4.00 p.m. and the admission charges are £4.00 (adults) and £2.00 (juniors and OAPs).

Both sides will be in familiar kits, with The New Saints wearing green and white hooped shirts, white shorts and green and white socks. Barry Town United will be in yellow shirts and blue shorts and socks.

For those who collect programmes, they will be on sale at the game, at a cost of £1.00.

If the match is level after ninety minutes, there will be the standard extra-time (fifteen minutes each way), followed by a penalty shoot-out if there is no winner in open play.

We caught up with Simon Spender at Park Hall prior to the aforementioned JD Cymru Premier game, to get his thoughts on the upcoming fixture, as well as his personal plans for beyond the 2019/2020 season.
