With no game last weekend, Friday’s trip to Newtown is The New Saints’ first fixture of 2020, as Phase One of the 2019/2020 JD Cymru Premier season reaches its climax.

Late drama last time out, when a 94th minute Dean Ebbe goal against Cefn Druids saw the champions cling on to top spot by the slender margin of a single point, means it’s The Saints who hold the advantage going into the new year.

After a week-long break, the first team squad returned to training yesterday, in preparation for the visit to Latham Park, and manager, Scott Ruscoe, also held his pre-match press conference.
