LATEST NEWS

With back-to-back games against Cefn Druids over the festive period, the first of those is on Boxing Day, as we make the short journey along the A5 to take on Huw Griffiths’ side.

Following three consecutive league wins – including 2-0 against Connah’s Quay Nomads – the Ancients’ run came to an end last weekend, as they drew 1-1 with Airbus UK Broughton.

Their recent run of good form sees them currently in sixth place, with The New Saints leading the way at the top of the JD Cymru Premier.

Although we lost 2-1 at home to Cardiff Metropolitan University FC on Friday just gone, and the gap is now down to just one point, nevertheless it’s still the reigning champions who lead the way as we head into the festive games.

It’s incredibly tight at the top end of the table, with three points separating as many teams. If Caernarfon Town win their game in hand against Penybont FC, then it will be even more congested, with the Canaries adding their name to the list of sides divided by just one win.

The leading goalscorers in the JD Cymru Premier, Scott Ruscoe’s side has scored fifty-four so far this season, exactly double Cefn Druids’ tally. The goals conceded figure is closer though, with the former’s defence having been breached nineteen times compared to the latter’s twenty-three.

You can follow the game – which has a kick-off time of 2.30 p.m. – via our Twitter account. In addition, we will be bringing live commentary, courtesy of TNS Radio. We look forward to your company.
