Well done to TNS Futsal who, like the first team at Park Hall, are going for Welsh Cup glory. Lee Phelan brings us the highlights of the journey so far…

 

First round group phase

We were drawn in a group with Welshpool Futsal and Glyndwr University Futsal.

 

First game

TNS Futsal 8 Glyndwr University 3

Scorers: Phelan (2), Latham (2),  Smart (2),  Wagner, Hope.

 

Second game

TNS Futsal 8 Welshpool Futsal 2

Welshpool forfeited the game at half -time, as their goalkeeper had to go hospital with an eye injury.

Scorers: Wagner (2), Stevie Evans, Smart, Phelan, Hope, Junior, Latham.

First team assistant-manager, Evo, finally got on the score sheet, after missing a handful of chances.

 

Welsh Cup Quarter-Final

Missing over half of the squad, we managed to pull off a great result to reach finals day. This is on April 14th at Glyndwr University, Wrexham.

Scorers: Phelan 3, Wagner 3,  Junior, Williams.

 

The finals day sees TNS Futsal take on Caerau Ely at 11.15 a.m. followed by Cardiff University v KS Hussars at 1.00 p.m. The final itself kicks off at 3.15 p.m.
