Following the FAW Youth Cup quarter-final games played over the weekend, the semi-final draw has been made this afternoon at the FAW HQ in Cardiff.

The draw sees south Walian rivals Swansea City and Cardiff City go head-to-head, while The New Saints have been paired with the winners of the Cardiff Metropolitan University FC and Llandudno FC tie.

The semi-final games will be played on Sunday, March 10, with more details to be confirmed in due course.

Immediately following today’s draw, we spoke with TNS FC’s Head of Performance Phase, Steve Benyon: “I’m delighted with the draw but it will be difficult, whoever we get. Cardiff Met are an unknown quantity as far as we are concerned and Llandudno FC will be difficult opponents.”

“We will not take the game lightly and we will prepare accordingly. We’re excited with the opportunity to reach the final and we will certainly not be taking anything for granted.”
