This evening, three JD Welsh Premier League sides were joined by one from the Welsh League Division One as the draw was made for the Nathaniel MG Cup semi-finals.
Cardiff Metropolitan University FC, Connah’s Quay Nomads and The New Saints FC went into the draw along with Cambrian and Clydach Vale Boys And Girls Club.
The New Saints reached the last four courtesy of two 5-0 victories on the road against teams nicknamed The Seasiders. The first came at Bastion Gardens against Prestatyn Town, while yesterday (October 30 2018) it was further along the coast for the current holders of the competition, as Llandudno FC found themselves on the wrong end of a five goal defeat.
Broadcast live via the JD Welsh Premier League’s Facebook page, the honours were done by the assistant manager of the national side, Osian Roberts, along with Wayne Griffiths, the managing director of Nathaniel MG Cars.
The New Saints were last out of the hat and therefore knew already that a trip to Cambrian and Clydach was the destiny of the draw.
