The December 2017 Manager and Player Of The Month nominations have now been shortlisted by the JD Welsh Premier League. As you can see below, although we are not represented from the playing staff, Scott Ruscoe has made the final four for the manager category.
The New Saints kicked the month off in style, with a 6-0 victory in the JD Welsh Cup against Penrhyncoch. With adverse weather conditions then dominating Welsh football, the next game wasn’t played until December 19, the first of four fixtures to the end of the year.
Home 3-0 and 4-0 wins against Connah’s Quay Nomads and Aberystwyth Town respectively were followed by a 3-2 victory on the road at Newtown AFC.
The only blot on the copybook was a 4-2 reversal at Park Hall against the Robins in the reverse Christmas fixture. Fortunately by then, as far as the nominations were concerned, Scott Ruscoe was over the line.
With a certain percentage of the vote open to the general public, you can cast yours HERE on the JD WPL Twitter account. The deadline is this Friday (January 12, 2018) and the winners will be announced in due course by the JD Welsh Premier League.
The post on the JD WPL site relating to the nominations can be found HERE.
