On Thursday December 21st, 15 of the Professional Phase players faced Cefn Druids at home in the Welsh Premier Development League. The game was played at a high quality, with numerous chances created by ourselves, with the score being 4-0 through goals from Harry Bower, CJ Craven x2 and Callum Jones .
Second half saw the introduction of 3 fresh faces, with a further 5 goals scored, with both CJ and Guyguy recording hat-tricks, and Harry with another, resulting in a convincing 9-0 victory.
It was pleasing to see a positive reaction after Tuesday’s poor performance, and also nice to see players gaining valuable minutes, even without a number of key players from the Bangor game, which truly reflects the strength in depth I have at my disposal.
The boys will now break up for Christmas, with training back on Wednesday 3rd January. We end the year top of the table, 6 points clear of second place Bangor, and 9 clear of Connah’s Quay, who have 3 games in hand.
