A wonderful last minute goal from Matty Williams won the game for TNS against a combative Middlesbrough Under 21 side.

A first half goal from Connell Rawlinson was cancelled out by Lewis Maloney in the second half but a last minute wonder goal from Williams gave TNS a 2-1 win over a Middlesbrough Under 21’s side this afternoon.

The Saints controlled large periods of the game with both Ryan Edwards and Alex Darlington impressing for Craig Harrison’s side.

The Saints deservedly led at the break but were pegged back against the run of play shortly into the second half.

However, a wonderful strike into the top corner from the edge of the box by Williams proved decisive and won the game for The Saints.
