{"id":7618,"date":"2023-01-13T11:53:04","date_gmt":"2023-01-13T11:53:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tnsfc.co.uk\/foundation\/2023\/01\/13\/launch-of-oswestry-youth-sport-programme-3\/"},"modified":"2023-01-13T11:53:04","modified_gmt":"2023-01-13T11:53:04","slug":"launch-of-oswestry-youth-sport-programme-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tnsfc.co.uk\/foundation\/2023\/01\/13\/launch-of-oswestry-youth-sport-programme-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Launch of Oswestry Youth Sport Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><span style=\"color: #008000\">This week, the Foundation launched it\u2019s latest programme, which is being funded by Street Games UK.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Foundation welcomed ten students from Marches Academy to The Centre in Oswestry.\u00a0 Over this Spring term, students will have the opportunity to take part in numerous sports and team building activities, as well as learning about opportunities to develop careers in sports businesses.\u00a0 Also included will be a visit to a Premier League football stadium.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the Oswestry Youth Sport Programme is to provide young people the opportunity to take part in a range of sports activities and to use the \u2018power of sport\u2019 to help them make positive life choices and decisions now and in the future \u2013 developing self-esteem and widening awareness of the positive role sport can play in people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"x_FluidPluginCopy x_ContentPasted2\">This programme is being delivered by The New Saints FC Foundation Ltd, in partnership with<\/span>\u00a0Marches Academy Trust, Bright Star Boxing, West Mercia Police, Oswestry Town Council, OsNosh and The New Saints FC<span class=\"x_FluidPluginCopy x_ContentPasted2\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Foundation Manager Gill Jones said &#8220;This programme is just one great example of the positive work the Foundation is doing in the local community.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Big thanks go to all our partners and of course our Foundation team, who have all helped us get this Programme underway within very short timescales.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We hope the young people taking part really enjoy their time with us, and that we can inspire them in some way to make positive life choices now and in the future.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>For further information about The New Saints FC Foundation Ltd contact info@tnsfcfoundation.org.uk.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week, the Foundation launched it\u2019s latest programme, which is being funded by Street Games UK.
