The draw for the Bute Energy Welsh Cup Round Two was made last night, and it will be a trip to SWWGL tier three side, Cambrian United, at the M&P Group 3G for The New Saints Women.

Cambrian reached this stage this past weekend following a 5-2 win over Porth Harlequins at Dines Park (Sunday, November 23rd).

The New Saints got to the second round after progressing past Bangor 10-0 at Park Hall Stadium, which featured four goals from centre-half, Tiggy Webb.

In the history of the Welsh Cup, the Saints have reached the semi-finals on two occasions, most recently last season, as the Genero Adran Trophy champions lost 1-0 to Cardiff City at Park Avenue in Aberystwyth (March 16, 2025).

Meanwhile, the second round is the furthest Cambrian have reached in the Welsh Cup.

Claire O’Sullivan’s team currently sit third in the SWWGL Women Combined League on 16 points.

The Welsh Cup encounter will be the first meeting between the Rhonda Valley team and Saints.

All ties will be played on Sunday, December 21st.
