This weekend (Sunday, November 9th), The New Saints Women start their defence of the Genero Adran Trophy with a trip to Mount Field to take on Llanfair United in the Round of 16.

Llanfair got to this stage of the competition in the Adran Trophy by finishing top in Group 4 after claiming a 2-1 win away at Llangefni Town and a 4-0 victory at home against Bangor.

It was a good 2024/25 season for the Genero Adran North team, as there was a second-place finish in the league, and success in the Central Wales FA Ladies Cup Final after a 3-0 victory over Berriew at Maesydre Recreation Ground (Thursday, April 17th, 2025).

Looking at the best run the Powys team have made in the Adran Trophy, that came in their last campaign in the competition by reaching the Round of 16 before bowing out 4-0 at Llandarcy Academy of Sport against Swansea City (Sunday, November 10th, 2024).

The New Saints have got a great record in the Adran Trophy following lifting the title last season after overcoming Swansea City 3-1 in the final at Latham Park (Sunday February 9th, 2025), and reaching the semi-finals on every other occasion.

Both teams will look to bounce back from defeats in their respective leagues, as the Saints lost 2-0 away at The Globe against Wrexham in the Genero Adran Premier, while Llanfair lost 2-0 at Mount Field against Llandudno in the Adran North (Sunday, November 2nd).

For Sunday’s match, Saints will wear a green and white hooped shirt with green shorts and socks, while the goalkeepers are in all-yellow.

Meanwhile, the hosts are to wear a dark blue shirt and socks with white shorts, with the keepers in all-light orange.

It will be a first competitive meeting between TNS and Llanfair.

Lilah Thomas is the referee, with Levi Roberts and Octavian Toader as the assistant referees.
