This Saturday (March 4) is the second of back-to-back games against Penybont FC. Last weekend at Park Hall, the sides drew 1-1 in the JD Cymru Premier, this time round it’s the JD Welsh Cup.

The semi-final game is being played at Carmarthen Town’s Richmond Park. Although currently hosting football in the JD Cymru South, in recent years the ground has been a familiar one for The New Saints.

The last visit there for Craig Harrison’s side was on October 16, 2021, when the visitors edged through on penalties against the old gold after the Welsh Cup game ended 0-0 in open play.

The trophy currently resides at Park Hall, with The New Saints beating Penybont FC last season at Cardiff City Stadium. With the holders of the competition enjoying a comfortable 3-0 lead, the south Walians came back to 3-2 but couldn’t find a third goal and that’s how it ended come the final whistle.

On Saturday, The Bont will be in all-blue, while TNS will be wearing green and white hooped shirts, white shorts and socks.

The goalkeepers will be in all-pink and all-red respectively.

Bryn Markham-Jones will referee the game and he will be assisted by Lewiss Edwards and Ashley Davis. Alex McInch is the fourth official.

The kick-off time is 12.45 p.m. and the game is being broadcast live by Sgorio. There is a supporters’ bus leaving from Park Hall and there are contact details here.
