The New Saints Women are delighted to announce the loan signing of goalkeeper Orla Howard from West Bromwich Albion until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old joined the Baggies from Blackburn Rovers in August 2025, where she gained valuable first-team experience in the Barclays WSL2, being named on the bench on multiple occasions.

An accomplished age-group international, Howard has represented Wales at various youth levels, including five appearances for the Under-17 side during UEFA Women's Under-17 European Championship qualification.

A native of Connah's Quay, the young goalkeeper's footballing journey began at grassroots level with Airbus UK Broughton before she progressed through the academy system into the semi-professional game.

Following her arrival at Park Hall, Howard said: "I'm really excited to join The New Saints and gain some valuable senior experience this season. I'm looking forward to working with the squad and pushing myself in training and on matchdays. I want to develop my game, help the team, and make the most of this opportunity."

The Wales youth international will link up with The New Saints immediately, providing additional quality and competition in the goalkeeping department for the remainder of the season.

Expressing his delight at welcoming his latest addition, Head Coach Kieran Lee-Birch said: "Orla is an excellent goalkeeper with a brilliant character and personality that will be a real asset to our squad. We're really excited to have her with us for the remainder of the season.

"This loan move gives her the opportunity to gain valuable senior competitive experience, while also adding quality and depth to our goalkeeping department as we push forward in the second half of the campaign."
