Evans first joined the Saints from Aberystwyth Town in October 2021 and on to make 89 appearances for the club, scoring 17 goals.

During her time at Park Hall, she played a key role in the team's success, helping the Saints win the Genero Adran Trophy - the club's first piece of silverware in the Welsh system - and secure their highest-ever Genero Adran Premier finish of third place, both during the 2024/25 season.

At the end of that campaign, the 25-year-old completed a move to then-champions Cardiff City, where she made her UEFA Women’s Champions League debut against Athlone Town in July 2025.

As well as putting in a number of strong performances in midfield, she also helped the Bluebirds lift the Bute Energy Welsh Cup, winning on penalties following a 3-3 draw with Swansea City.

Speaking after returning to Park Hall, Evans said: “After four great seasons, a year away, and plenty of lessons learned, I’m incredibly excited to be back.

“I’m looking forward to returning to a club that has played such a big part in my career, seeing familiar faces again, and embracing a new challenge.

“I can’t wait to get started, give everything for the badge once again, and help the team achieve as much success as possible.

Head Coach Kieran Lee-Birch was equally pleased to secure Helen’s signature, adding: “We’re so glad to have Helen back at the club. She was a hugely popular and successful person here first time round, and she'll bring energy and leadership to the squad.

“This is another signing which shows the club's intent to challenge for trophies."

The New Saints Women will begin their 2026/27 campaign on Sunday, July 19th, with their first friendly due to take place at Park Hall against Y Felliheli.
