The New Saints Women start their Bute Energy Welsh Cup campaign this Sunday, as Genero Adran North side, Bangor, visit Park Hall Stadium in Round One of the competition.

It was a good past weekend for the Oswestry-based team following a 3-2 win over Briton Ferry Llansawel in the Genero Adran Premier (November 16).

Meanwhile, Bangor lost 4-0 to Flint Town United at Cae y Castell in the Adran North.

Rich Parry’s team reached the first round this season after Llanidloes Town withdrew from their second qualifying round match.

The Gwynedd side were in the opening round of the competition two years ago before being beat 6-1 by Y Felinheli at Bangor City Stadium (October 15, 2023).

Looking at the Adran North table, the Citizens are bottom with three points, while The New Saints are fourth in the Adran Premier table with 15 points.

The Saints have reached a couple of Welsh Cup semi-finals, most recently last season, as the Genero Adran Trophy champions lost 1-0 to Cardiff City at Park Avenue in Aberystwyth (March 16, 2025).

It is set to be a first competitive meeting between Saints and Bangor.

For Sunday’s encounter, The Saints will be in a green and white hooped shirt with green shorts and socks, with the goalkeepers in all-yellow.

Bangor will wear blue shirts and shorts with white socks, while keepers are to be in yellow shirts and shorts with red socks.

The officials are as follows: Lilah Thomas (referee), Harvey Smallman and Isabella Barnes (assistant referees).
