The New Saints are pleased to confirm the appointment of Jodie Williams as the club’s new Women’s Head Coach. 

A current UEFA A Licence candidate, Williams also assumes the role of Head of Women and Girls’ Football, and will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the club’s Women and Girls’ strategy. 

The 32-year-old arrives at Park Hall from Women’s Super League side Everton, where she’s most recently been working as U16s head coach and U21s assistant at the club’s Pro Game Academy.  

Her previous experience also includes roles with Fulham, Worcester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Speaking after today’s announcement, Williams said:

“I’m really looking forward to getting involved with the club and taking on this role as we look to build on the success of Shauna, Tom and the team from last season.

“I have only ever heard good things about The New Saints, so I look forward to starting the new season with the staff and players.

“The launch of our new Girls’ Academi programme, supporting the growing pathway for players at the club, means there’s lots of hard work ahead, but these are really exciting times to look forward to.”

Chairman Mike Harris welcomed the appointment, adding:

“Following Shauna Duffy’s departure and the success our women’s team enjoyed last season, it was vital for us to maintain that momentum heading into the new campaign.

“Appointing a new management team is a crucial step in achieving our continued success and meeting the goals we’ve set.”

Chief Operating Officer Ian Williams said:

“I’m delighted that Jodie has accepted the role. She brings valuable experience from her time working with young players at WSL side Everton and with Fulham Women, which will be a huge asset as we continue to develop and strengthen our squad. 

“I’m confident she’ll lead our women’s team into an exciting new chapter.”
