For the second time in the space of three weeks, we take on Caernarfon Town at Park Hall. This time though, on Friday (November 11), it’s a departure from the JD Cymru Premier, when we go head-to-head with the Canaries in the third round of the JD Welsh Cup. 

The previous game, on October 25, saw The New Saints win 3-0 with goals from Ryan Brobbel, Adam Wilson and Gwion Dafydd.

The victory also opened up a seven-points gap at the top of the table, a lead that still stands at the present time.

Looking ahead to Friday’s fixture, as far as the league is concerned Craig Harrison’s side has won twelve on the bounce, so current form is excellent.

However, it was a close encounter in the previous round of the Welsh Cup, when the game against Chirk AAA was ultimately decided by penalties.

The second round tie, on October 8, was 1-1 after ninety minutes, which with no extra-time meant that we went straight to spot-kicks.

With all top-flight teams drawn away from home, Caernarfon Town triumphed 4-0 against Flint Mountain.

The New Saints will be in green and white hooped shirts, green shorts and white socks, while the ‘keepers will be wearing all-red.

Mark Petch will be the referee and he will be assisted by James Sheils and Jordan Christopher. Conor Charlton-Fleming is the fourth official and Nathan Brearley the referee observer.
