It’s Park Hall under the floodlights this Tuesday (October 25) for The New Saints, as we welcome Caernarfon Town on JD Cymru Premier MD8.
Originally scheduled for earlier in the season – hence the MD number – the game means that, come the final whistle, all sides in the league will have played eleven.
We still talk about ‘early days’, as far as the season is concerned, but we will have then moved into the second-third of the campaign.
As it stands at present, The New Saints’ lead over second (Connah’s Quay Nomads) and third (Bala Town) is four and eight points respectively.
Caernarfon, with back-to-back league victories of their own, have the incentive of progressing from fifth to third, if they win.
The corresponding fixture last season saw the host side win 3-1, with goals from Declan McManus (2, 88) and Ryan Brobbel (42).
The Cofis’ consolation (90+4) came courtesy of Gwion Dafydd, who since then has moved to Park Hall.
On Tuesday, The New Saints will be in green and white hooped shirts, with green shorts and white socks. The goalkeepers will be wearing red and blue shirts, red shorts and socks.
Caernarfon Town’s players will be turning out in black shirts and yellow shorts and socks. The ‘keepers will be in all-orange.
John Jones is the appointed referee and he will be assisted by Johnathon Bebee-Bryant and Ashley Davis. The fourth official is Siôn Davies.
Kick-off is 7.45 p.m. and, if you’re not at Park Hall, you can follow the action on TNS Radio. The link is on the home page of our website, as well as being broadcast via our Facebook page.
