Its a third versus first encounter this Saturday (October 15), when Bala Town hosts The New Saints on JD Cymru Premier MD11.
With five points separating the sides in the table, a win for the Lakesiders would reduce the gap to two, while an away victory would increase it to eight as well as TNS having a game in hand.
Recent visits to Maes Tegid have been favourable, as far as the league leaders are concerned, with a five-match unbeaten run.
However, three of those have been draws, which reinforces the fact that on paper at least, it will be a close one this weekend.
Colin Caton’s side is on a good run of form at the moment, having won three league games on the bounce.
Having scored nineteen goals, they are five behind The New Saints as far as that statistic is concerned, while their six conceded is two more than TNS.
Bala Town will be wearing their familiar white shirts with black shorts and socks, with the goalkeepers in all-burgundy.
The New Saints will be in blue shirts and shorts with white socks, while the ‘keepers will be in blue and red shirts, red shorts and socks.
Thomas Owen is the appointed referee and he will be assisted by Ian Bird and Connor Thomas.
The fourth official is Aaron Wyn Jones and Stephen Hames the referee observer.
Kick-off is 2.30 p.m. and if you’re not at the game in person then you can follow the action on TNS Radio, via our website home page or Facebook page.
