Congratulations go to both Anthony Limbrick and Declan McManus, who have tonight been named JD Cymru Premier Manager and Player of the Season. 

In his full season at the helm, Limbrick led The Saints to a record-breaking 14th JD Cymru Premier title, racking up 80 points in the process to finish comfortably ahead of second-placed Bala Town.

Over the course of the season, the Australian was named Manager of the Month on two occasions (August 2021 and January 2022), with his side losing just two league matches all season.

A 12-match unbeaten run, stretching from November to March, was a highlight of a memorable campaign.

Expressing his delight at winning the award, the head coach said: “Thank you to everyone who’s voted me JD Cymru Premier Manager of the Season this year, it’s a big honour to win the award in my first full season at the club.

“I’d also like to say a big thank you to all of the staff and players. I’ve had great support from everyone both on and off the pitch this season.”

Also in his first season at the club, McManus didn’t wait long to hit the ground running, as he found the back of the net six times throughout last summer’s UEFA Europa Conference League campaign.

His good form continued into the domestic season as well, and he won the Golden Boot with an impressive 25 goals in 32 appearances.

Speaking earlier, the Scottish striker told us: “I’m obviously absolutely delighted to receive the Player of the Year award, which tops off an incredible and surreal season for me personally.

“It’s been an amazing first season as a whole, winning two trophies. I have the rest of the boys in the team to thank for the personal awards I’m receiving, as they have helped me to achieve them. Thank you to everyone who voted.”
